We’re thrilled to welcome back photographer Cheikh Chevalier back to the Flash Punk stage with this autobiographical series. In this set, captured during the May 2020 stay-at-home order in France, Cheikh and his girlfriend Lola work both sides of the lens and find a serene beauty in isolation, boredom, and vulnerability.

“It was the height of confinement in Montpellier when Lola and I had the idea to shoot this series in silhouette,” Cheikh says. “We were tired of feeling helpless. There were days when we desperately wanted to get out, but we had no choice but to stay inside. We were like fish in a bowl, swimming the same circuit day after day. During this time, we felt the urge to photograph, so we photographed what we had—us.”
