We are thrilled to welcome Mexico City-based photographer Jorge Torres to Flash Punk with this evocative series featuring models Irantzu Rivero and Fernanda Romero.
“I am moved by human emotions,” says Jorge. “When shooting portraits I express the feeling I am trying to capture to the model and usually they respond very well. I find the right setting is very important to portray the emotion I am trying to capture. I like to keep a simple environment, especially to concentrate all my attention on the subject. Normally I work with natural light and I am really fond of using direct sunlight, especially at golden hour. I use film for all my personal portraits, usually I use a Contax G1 and I have several film favorites: portra800, ektar100 and proimage100.”
